Every year at least once a year we make at least five resolutions, break two, remember to change the batteries in our smoke detector, and oh yes, polish up our professional personal brand.  If the last item sounds either unfamiliar, intimidating, or you’ve let an economic swing bring you down and no longer feel worthy of going after the Gold Standard you originally set for your career, then you really need this event. It was meant for You.

In between networking opportunities, take the time to invest in yourself to gain the wisdom of recruiters on how to sell yourself to win that perfect role, that raise, that promotion. Our panel is comprised of internal and outsourced highly seasoned recruiters who know how it works behind the scenes and can tell you what to do and what to avoid in a way that positively shapes your very own brand.

This session will address:

  •  How to stand out as truly outstanding in the candidate selection process
  • Doing your research on a company and role to prepare like you really care

  • Taking the phone interview as seriously as the face to face interview – this is a huge issue

  • Best approaches to follow up post-interview

  • Gaffes to avoid during the job/position/promotion hunt

  • How to choose among multiple opportunities when the timing, the role type, and the potential are all on different wave lengths and trajectories

  • How to navigate and negotiate to your favor

  • When to say no to an opportunity

  • How to plant the seed to have an employer create a role perfectly designed for you and your skills

  • How to optimize your resume based on experience and key words

Cindy’s passion for Recruiting and Human Resources goes back to her early career days when she worked for staffing agencies. She has been on a Recruiting, HR career path from the very beginning.  Her reason?  Cindy really likes the joy of helping someone accomplish their career goals by matching them with the best role that suits their qualifications.  Right now, that’s mobile security and anything in that arena. Cindy’s enjoyed working for organizations that genuinely love making internal and external individuals feel special.  For her, it’s all about delivering on people’s dreams and her company’s goals, so that we can grow as a team.

For those who don’t know – that’s a prestige certification in Human Resources.  Cindy is a huge Starbucks and gym fan.  She has three children ages 23, 17, and 16 who also keep her very busy.  One of her personal goals this year is to also get her interior room design company on its feet.  This is a challenge within itself and she has welcomed all this additional opportunity for 2020.

Cindy’s enjoyed Recruitment/HR throughout her whole career, and she couldn’t imagine doing anything else within these corporate walls!

Follow Dana on LinkedIn or Twitter

Dana is a serial networker and connector of people. This is how she accidentally fell into the payments industry fresh out of college. The serendipity has continued ever since. Dana is pleased to have helped PMT Services, Inc. grow organically to go public during her tenure. As the 5th hire in the credit division in a company of approximately 55 employees, she helped Lynk (RBS Lynk/RBS WorldPay, WorldPay) over 16 years expand from a private company through two acquisitions. While there, she earned Lynk’s first Employee of the Year Award for greatest fiscal contribution among approximately 500 employees with the national release of sales management software. She released National Benefit Programs while at Cynergy, now Priority. Note this connection resulted in her current employment. She developed training, product management and business development while at MainStream, handing opportunity after opportunity off to talented team members that she networked into the organization. Dana is actively sharing the value of National Benefit Programs with acquirers to help them rapidly enhance the value they deliver their portfolio while increasing their earnings per share.
