Michael Brodnick, Chief Sales Officer, Heartland
Michael Brodnick became Heartland’s Chief Sales Officer in 2019 and has played key roles in the company’s expansion for more than 11 years. Joining Heartland’s sales force as a Relationship Manager in 2008, Michael built connections throughout Heartland that only strengthened as he became a Regional Manager, Executive Director and eventually Vice President of Sales. After a successful tenure as Senior Vice President of Sales, he was named to his current position.
Michael is passionate about helping entrepreneurs live their American Dream. Having started a business early in his career, Michael has first-hand knowledge of the many challenges business owners face, and has spent more than a decade talking with entrepreneurs to understand their unique needs. He imparts that knowledge within Heartland to build a best-minded culture that continually strives to positively impact the business and personal lives of customers.
Kathleen Fiorello, Head of US Partner Acquiring & Global Acquisition Capabilities, American Express
In this role, Kathleen oversees all partners and programs in the US for acquiring merchants to accept American Express, including OptBlue and Aggregators. She has been with American Express for almost 25 years, including roles in client management, marketing, business development, product management, and as country manager of the Nordics.
She previously was VP, Payment Consulting in Global Strategy & Capabilities, during which she managed all aspects of the merchant acquiring payment strategies, including global enablement. She led a team of 130 employees across 21 countries. In her role, Kathleen oversaw our third party processor and bank partner relationships, many of whom are OptBlue participants. Most notably, she led the EMV payment security efforts for Global Merchant Services.
Philip McHugh, Chief Executive Officer, Paysafe
Philip McHugh has extensive experience of the global banking and payments industries and an executive leadership career spanning more than 20 years. He joined Paysafe in June 2019 from TSYS, a leading global payments provider, where he was responsible for heading up their merchant solutions division. During his time at TSYS, Philip played an instrumental role in growing TSYS’ overall revenues and profits by over 30%. His specific achievements included the acquisition and full integration of two businesses – Cayan and iMobile3; and the creation of a more dynamic, results-driven product delivery and technology culture, including the upgrade of TSYS’ integrated platforms and the market launch of its Vital smart POS product lines.
Heidi VandenBerg, Vice President of Marketing at Global Payments Integrated
Heidi VandenBerg joined Global Payments Integrated as a result of the TSYS acquisition in September 2019. Heidi serves as the Vice President of Marketing where she leads all efforts in branding, communications, advertising, marketing automation, direct mail, and thought leadership. She brings an extensive knowledge of the payments space with over 20 years of experience in the industry.
